Egginton History Association

The Egginton History Association is a small group sharing a common interest in researching Egginton’s history, recording it for future generations and displaying the fruits of their labours for others to enjoy.

Meetings are held 4 to 6 times a year to share information and to direct activities.

Current projects include:

  • Analysing census data between 1841 and 1911
  • Making a photographic record of all village dwellings for 2011 (corresponding to the census).

The Old Post Office, behind the Memorial Hall, has been converted in to the Egginton Heritage Centre for the storing and display of memorabilia. The centre is open on the afternoon of the third Wednesday in the month between 2 pm and 4 pm. All are welcome to visit and look through the information held there.

Why not come along on a Wednesday afternoon and see for yourself?

We are always on the look out for any photographs, memorabilia or artifacts either for copying or retention for display in the Heritage Centre. Please show us what you have!

New members are most welcome and membership is free!
