Egginton Parent and Child Group is available to all babies, toddlers and pre-school children in Egginton and the surrounding area. We meet every Friday, during term time, in Egginton Church (while the Memorial Hall renovations take place). Meetings are from 1.45pm until 3.20pm and we currently have a membership of 15 children.

We have a parents' rota to share the task of setting-up a craft activity each week such as icing biscuits, making masks, wooden spoon puppets, vegetable printing and a second activity such as playdough, colouring, painting and cutting and sticking. We also supply a selection of suitable toys. During the sessions parents/guardians have a cup of tea and the children have a drink and a biscuit. The older children are invited to join the school children for story-time at 3pm, which helps to forge a link between the pre-school children and the school.

During the year we arrange trips out with the children to softplay centres and are planning picnics in the park when the weather improves! We have an Easter Egg hunt planned at Easter and of course Santa will attend the Christmas party in December. Parents also get a well earned rest as we organise nights out for the parents (minus children) from time to time!

We charge £1.25 per session to cover the cost of refreshments, craft materials etc. We have also recently invested in some new toys.

Any new parents, grandparents, nannies or childminders are most welcome to come along with their pre-school children.
