Not really a comment - more a question
Was the YMCA farm training centre in Eggington? I went there in 1966, so the memory is very vague.
It was in a very large Victorian house called Park Hill.
Very interesting website. My family the 'Bakewells' lived at Ports Farm in Duck Street for about 70 years. I have already spotted my Great Grandmother on the picture of the Flower Show in 1909!
Good, clean design Jim - but I'm sure glad Ctrl-+ works - my old eyes can't cope these days with the small print or is it my browser?
I'm often asked about the possible link between the village's name and the surname, so I like to pop in here occasionally to see what you're up to.Name: egginton christine E-mail: chrisegginton@orange.fr City: annecy Country: france Sent: 04/04/2008 08:50:46 pm

As possibly the first comment on this site, I should like to say 'Special Thanks' to Jim Gardner, who has not only designed a terrific site but puts in a lot of effort in updating it on behalf of all of us.
